Best Hilton Credit Cards of 2026

Four Amex Hilton cards, from free to Aspire, ranked by real value.

Amex issues all four Hilton Honors cards, and each one comes with automatic elite status. Hilton points are worth about half a cent each, so the headline bonuses look huge but the real value lives in the status, free night certificates, and credits. The right card depends on how many Hilton nights you book each year.

Best premium

Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card card art
Bonus: 150,000 pts (≈$750)Annual fee: $550Credit: 740+

14x Hilton portfolio hotels

7x Flights booked direct or via Amex Travel, car rentals, US restaurants

3x All other purchases

Why we chose it

The Aspire is one of the strongest hotel cards ever printed. Automatic Diamond status, an annual free night certificate good at almost any Hilton, and hundreds in resort and airline credits swamp the $550 fee. Use the free night at a top-tier property and you come out ahead every year.

Best overall

Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card card art
Bonus: 130,000 pts (≈$650)Annual fee: $150Credit: 670+

12x Hilton portfolio hotels

6x US restaurants, US supermarkets, US gas stations

4x US online retail purchases

Why we chose it

The Surpass is the sweet spot for most Hilton guests. It carries automatic Gold status, which gets you free breakfast or credits at most brands, for a $150 fee. Spend $15,000 in a year and it adds a free night certificate too.

Best no fee

Bonus: 80,000 pts (≈$400)Annual fee: $0Credit: 670+

7x Hilton portfolio hotels

5x US restaurants, US supermarkets, US gas stations

3x All other purchases

Why we chose it

The no-annual-fee Hilton Honors card grants automatic Silver status and earns 7x at Hilton properties. It costs nothing to keep, so it is the easy answer for occasional Hilton stays. It also keeps your Honors points from expiring.

Best for business

Hilton Honors American Express Business card art
Bonus: 130,000 pts (≈$650)Annual fee: $195Credit: 700+

12x Hilton portfolio hotels and resorts

5x All other purchases (first $80k per year)

3x Other purchases after the $80k cap

Why we chose it

The Hilton Business card brings Gold status and strong earning on business spend for $195. It is a separate welcome bonus from the personal cards, so points-focused owners often add it on top of a Surpass or Aspire. Amex business cards also stay off your personal report.

The Bottom Line

If you stay at Hiltons more than a handful of nights a year, the Aspire is the play and the math is not close. The Surpass wins for lighter travelers who still want free breakfast through Gold status. The no-fee card is a fine starting point, and the Business card stacks a second bonus for owners. Remember every bonus here is once per lifetime per card.
